Opportunity:  Social Media Manager

Essential Job Functions

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.  
  • Develop and present monthly social media strategy for both restaurant outlets.
  • Present analytics on social media performance on a monthly basis.
  • Develop monthly programming for pool area and present strategy.
  • Manage and create social media calendar.
  • Measure success of social media campaigns as present reports.
  • Attend daily and monthly management meetings as needed.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees and other departments while reporting directly to F&B Director.
  • Create and help manage influencer campaigns.
  • Serve as community liaison helping connect the hotel to the surrounding areas, including the University of Miami.
  • Activate Paseo area for events.
  • Work hand in hand with hotel marketing team to create content that is informative, appealing and in line with hotel branding.
  • Assist in events as needed in order to create content.
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic methods.
  • Report on set KPIs.
  • Attend Community and Outside Events as liaison for Thesis Restaurants as needed.
  • Help Management create event programing for Restaurant outlets.
  • Create campaigns for promotion of Restaurant related events.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; college degree and proven track record of content creation.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office, Adobe is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule and able to work long hours as required. Some holidays may be required.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at amending social media strategies.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on holidays, weekends.
  • Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
  • Moderate travel between hotels and client’s locations required.
