Essential Job Functions

Work with the regional Director of Marketing to develop and implement marketing and communications initiatives.

  • Align with the GM, sales and revenue teams’ needs and develop creative to support the digital marketing tactics for the hotel and its assets; including the F&B outlets.
  • Support in the creation of email marketing campaigns – including copywriting and image selection. 
  • Manage hotel promotional calendars including email promos, e-newsletters, and F&B newsletters/promos. Manage the internal approval process for email deployment calendars.
  • Partner with the eCommerce team to manage and organize website content and ensure property website is kept up-to-date with relevant content and property imagery.
  • Work with property and corporate pr agencies and act as the property’s primary contact for all media, influencers, photographers, broadcast crews and partners to ensure the hotels, staff, and outlets are positively received. Ensure press is appropriately maximized via social media (when relevant), internal tracking and the site’s press and accolade page.
  • Develop local media contacts and ensure that these groups receive regular communications in coordination with PR agencies and invitations to hotel programming to keep top of mind. 
  • Manage all in-house communication and reporting of marketing efforts with all relevant departments to align the guest experience with operational resources.
  • Research and develop unique and on-trend ideas for programming, packages, and offerings to support marketing goals for hotel and outlets.  Develop partnerships to accomplish inclusions.
  • Cultivate community and tourism partnerships on behalf of the hotel and its outlets. Create media plan or partnership program as relevant.
  • Research and implement a quarterly strategic programming plan to increase publicity and brand awareness for the hotel and/or outlets.
  • Execute the partner programming activations to the highest standard, create customized offerings.
  • Manage third-party social media agencies to develop social content on a continual basis that is in line with property goals across all social platforms. Oversee online social media presence, engage guests via direct messages, develop metrics reports, plan a strategic calendar of social media initiatives, and lead social media sweepstakes. 
  • Contribute to building the brand image by working with graphic design and third-party creative agencies for all collateral needs for the hotels, outlets and sales teams. Supply content and direction for agencies to develop collateral, web/banner ads, print ad campaigns, etc.
  • Work in conjunction with the Regional Director of Marketing and property team to plan, manage and execute all photo shoots for the hotels and outlets. Act as the point of contact for the photographer, stylists, and all staff collaborating on the shoot. 
  • Maintain close ties with Executive Chef, F&B Director, DOS and banquet team to anticipate marketing support, collateral and gifting needs, and manage the brand and implementation of experiences.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with function leaders, Digital marketing vendors, and Revenue Management team members
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s Earth View program.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, Business or Hospitality. 
  • High proficiency in copywriting and American English grammatical rules (AP or New York Times Style Guides).  Writing samples will be requested.
  • Knowledge of marketing and communications strategies and the hospitality industry.
  • Previous work experience in utilization and successful navigation of hotel or a brand social media, email marketing, media buying and eCommerce. 
  • High proficiency in Google Apps, MS Word and PowerPoint; ability to learn the functionality of new software and systems.
  • Great communicator with the ability to convey both analysis and findings to management and external clients.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional, entrepreneurial atmosphere in order to achieve measurable results and improve existing processes.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a given time and maintain timelines.

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
  • Requires sitting, typing, speaking on the phone and standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 20 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
