Essential Job Functions

  • Lead, develop and support associates to ensure they are performing in accordance with established standards and core values.
  • Be a leader in community affairs, network with local businesses, establish deep relations with clients, maintain a positive public image for the hotel and HHM hotels.
  • Inspect the property and look after the conditions, cleanliness, quality, and service throughout the hotel or grounds. High attention to detail.
  • Supervise and review the development of the business plan, annual budget, financial reports and annual and monthly forecasts.
  • Collaborate and work with the sales and marketing leader on development and implementation of the sales and marketing plans.
  • Partner with revenue management professionals to analyze trends and implement changes to maximize room revenue.
  • Communicate and maintain a positive rapport with associates and guests, connecting regularly with staff, corporate and ownership.
  • Monitor to ensure safety practices and procedures are followed, proper emergency and security procedures are maintained.

Position Requirements

  • Previous experience within a luxury hotel is preferred.
  • Experience in Texas and/or Mexico preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field.
  • Fluent in Spanish required.
  • Ability to work with third party partners.

Work Environment and Context

  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, using fingers and hands, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Occasional travel required.
